Closing and Follow-through - Have reassurance insurance with you at all times. When prospects are close to buying, but not convinced, be prepared to present a list of references or testimonial letters to reassure them. Stronger still, have an existing client call the prospect on your behalf. This little extra proof of your firm's ability to perform is often all it takes to get a client to move from maybe to okay.

Closing and Follow-through - Help clients decide with "why-buy-now" logic. Find a reason for clients to commit sooner rather than later. Examples:

* Rates are going up next year. Sign up today to save the 6% increase.

* Inventory is limited. To guarantee that you can get....., we need to know by Monday.

* Only three spaces are left. If you want to participate, you'd be wise to commit today.

* We ship tomorrow, so your decision today is critical."
